Details

This LASCO 1-1/4-inch slip cross fitting connects four compatible PVC pipe runs at a crossing point. Slip sockets are intended for the correct pipe outside diameter and approved solvent-weld assembly.

How This Component Fits the System

Water-handling equipment depends on sound seals, properly matched threads, and undamaged mating surfaces to remain leak-resistant. A replacement fitting or sealing component is only effective when its dimensions, material, connection type, and location agree with the original design. Seemingly similar plumbing parts can use different threads or face profiles, so measuring the removed part and reviewing the manufacturer diagram is often more dependable than matching by sight.

Confirm pipe size, material, pressure rating, and the required installation geometry; a cross is not interchangeable with a tee or threaded fitting.

Replacement and Maintenance Considerations

A well-planned repair includes inspecting the condition of the neighboring assembly before reinstalling the replacement. Look for worn mating surfaces, loose retainers, damaged connections, corrosion, or other conditions relevant to the component being serviced. Recommission the system using the manufacturer procedure rather than assuming that installing a new part alone resolves the original operating problem.

For this particular listing, the ordering reference is 420-012BC. The identifying description is Lasco 1-1/4" Slip Cross Fitting (420-012BC). Matching the original unit and the manufacturer parts illustration is particularly important where closely related models have different mounting or electrical requirements.

Practical Features and Service Benefits

Supports repair of a local connection without replacing the entire equipment assembly.
Correct fit helps minimize the risk of leaks after equipment is returned to service.
Inspect mating surfaces for cracking, deposits, or damage before installing new parts.
Do not force incompatible threads or overtighten plastic components.
Follow the applicable assembly instructions for seal placement and tightening.
Pressure-test and check the repaired joint under normal conditions after servicing.
