Harmsco BetterFilter BF155SC 155 Sq Ft Cartridge Filter [155 GPM] (BF155SC)

The BetterFilter BF155SC 155 Sq Ft Cartridge Filter [155 GPM] (BF155SC) is an original Harmsco filtration-related product identified by manufacturer part number BF155SC. The BetterFilter single-cartridge system is designed for commercial and shared pool applications where filtration performance and repeatable service matter. Harmsco’s patented upflow architecture is promoted for minimizing trapped air and helping use the available cartridge surface.

Role in the Filter Assembly

Unlike sand filtration systems that require backwashing, the reusable-cartridge approach allows the element to be removed and cleaned, potentially conserving treated and heated pool water during maintenance. Harmsco also highlights compact equipment footprints and access to the filter element for straightforward servicing, useful considerations for aquatic facilities, hotels and community pools.

Harmsco Filtration and Service Considerations

Harmsco BetterFilter equipment is built around serviceable cartridge-filtration assemblies. The manufacturer promotes its upflow approach for limiting trapped air and its reusable filter options for reducing backwash water. Correctly matched internal hardware helps keep the original filtration assembly serviceable rather than replacing the entire unit.

Replacement and Maintenance Guidance

Selection requires a hydraulic assessment rather than choosing by filter area alone. Confirm design flow, operating pressure, plumbing size, service clearance and the cartridge package included with this specific listing. The pool operator should follow all applicable public-pool rules and the manufacturer’s operating instructions.

Practical Features and Ordering Considerations

• Upflow filtration: Harmsco’s flow arrangement is intended to reduce air entrapment.
• Reusable element: Cartridge service can avoid routine backwash-water disposal.
• Commercial context: Relevant to facility filtration when correctly sized.
• Service clearance: Allow physical access for lifting and cleaning the cartridge.
• System sizing: Check design GPM, pressure and plumbing constraints.
• Maintenance access: Inspect closure hardware, sealing surfaces and cartridge condition.
