The Val-Pak AquaFlo Dominator seal plate is designed for compatible pump applications where the central wet-end support piece needs to be replaced. Seal plates are useful because they hold the shaft seal area in proper relation to the motor and volute, making them one of the most structurally important pieces in the assembly.
This replacement is especially useful when the original seal plate is cracked, warped, worn at the seal cavity, or otherwise no longer fit for a quality rebuild. Reusing a compromised seal plate can undercut the rest of the wet-end service, even when the seals and impeller are new.
