Astral Deluxe Skimmer Weir Door Kit [White] (4402010267)

The Astral Deluxe Skimmer Weir Door Kit [White] is a purpose-specified replacement or installation product for pool and spa equipment. The right component can make the difference between a straightforward repair and costly rework: matching the original equipment arrangement helps preserve system function, reduce unnecessary replacement of otherwise usable parts, and restore a consistent finished installation.

How a Skimmer Weir Supports Surface Cleaning

A skimmer weir door is a small but useful component in pool surface-cleaning systems. It sits at the mouth of the skimmer and moves with the incoming water, helping direct floating debris toward the collection basket. The floating action can also help discourage collected leaves and other material from returning to the pool when circulation slows or stops.

A missing, jammed or broken weir can reduce the performance of an otherwise sound skimmer. Replacement requires the correct door geometry, pivot detail and clearance at the skimmer throat. Debris caught at the hinge or distorted plastic can prevent free movement, so inspect the entire opening while performing the repair.

Selection and Installation Considerations

The kit or assembly designation is relevant when planning a repair, but the exact included pieces should be checked against the supplier packing list rather than inferred from a photo. The listed finish helps coordinate with existing equipment, but color alone cannot confirm the mechanical or electrical version needed. The specific item reference 4402010267 should be used when checking ordering records, service illustrations and original manufacturer labels. After installation, check that the weir swings freely throughout its intended range and that the skimmer basket and water level are appropriate for operation.

Useful Features and Service Considerations

• Helps direct floating material into the skimmer
• Allows normal movement with changing water level
• Check hinge and pivot compatibility
• Inspect the skimmer throat for obstruction
• Proper operation depends on free movement
• A targeted repair can restore existing skimmer function

Before ordering: Identify the existing equipment model and compare the connection or mounting arrangement, manufacturer identification and any applicable electrical or safety requirements. This listing is for the particular item identified above, not for an entire system unless the product is expressly described as a complete assembly.
